Food was really good, and the parent company used to be a customer of mine when I covered Houston- Pappa's Restaurants
Seats were only about $100 and it was great to see the show a second time, my fifth U2 show. I was much more relaxed and got to sit back
and absorb the whole set up more.
I had tons of fun, and as much as I now dislike Houston, Reliant Stadium seemed really first class. Our club level seating had an air conditioned lounge
area right behind us with practically no wait for the rest rooms, and very short one for food or the souvenier stands (in Dublin you had to push
your way forward for about 30 minutes for a t-shirt).
That being said a huge downfall was the parking lot trying to exit the
stadium- although we paid $20 for the privilege, it took about an hour before you could start to work your way out- ridiculous.
Also to compare to the Dublin show: much of the crowd didn't seem to know or like the new album; generally less crowd participation- for example
the whole stadium sang back several times "Oh you look so beautiful tonight" in Dublin, I don't think they did it once here for
City of Blinding Lights.
But again, a fantastic time was had.
